About Sour Dice
Sour Dice is an independent clothing brand created in Brooklyn, NY known for latex garments, swimwear and apparel. The brand has 1.3M+ average monthly Instagram views, is stocked in five+ US retailers, has shown a solo runway at NYFW, and has been worn by artists including LISA (FIFA World Cup "Goals" music video). This will be our first hire - we need a right hand to keep the studio, inventory, and day-to-day operations running smoothly.
The Role
We're looking for an organized, detail-oriented Studio Manager to own the operational backbone of Sour Dice, so our founder can focus on design, wholesale growth, and the brand's creative direction. You'll split your time between studio operations (inventory, shipping, organization) and support on content and outreach. This role is equal parts operations and production - you should be organized on daily logistics, but ready to step in and sew tags or cut patterns. If you're not an expert, still apply - think of this as both a job and a paid apprenticeship!
What You'll Do - This is a long list, because everyday will be different. Founder will assist on all tasks as well.
Inventory Management
-
Maintain and update our Master Inventory workbook across all channels: website (Wix), TikTok Shop, Depop, and wholesale accounts
-
Conduct regular physical stock counts in the studio and reconcile against the tracker
-
Keep per-store sales sheets and the Weekly Store Tracker current across all retail accounts
-
Flag low stock, restock needs, and discrepancies before they become problems
Studio Organization
-
Keep the physical studio organized: sample stock, finished inventory, packing materials, fabric/materials storage, and shoot equipment
-
Prep and break down the space for sample shoots and content days
-
Maintain a clean, functional pull-and-pack system so orders and stylist requests can be found and shipped quickly
Email & Communications
-
Manage day-to-day correspondence for hello@sourdice.com — customer questions, wholesale inquiries, and stylist/press requests
-
Support email marketing execution in Kit (list segments, launch sequences, waitlist flows)
-
Draft and send professional, on-brand replies; escalate anything that needs founder input
Social Media Content
-
Manage social media intern
-
Organize social media content in all shared drives for easy access and archiving
Stylist Pull Coordination
-
Own the Stylist Pulls tracker: log incoming requests, due-back dates, and item status
-
Pull, pack, and ship garments for stylist and press requests; track returns
-
Maintain relationships with stylists and follow up professionally on overdue pulls
Order Fulfillment & Shipping
-
Pack and ship direct-to-consumer orders (Wix, TikTok Shop, Depop, Venmo/Zelle) and wholesale shipments
-
Keep packing supplies stocked and shipping process efficient
Wholesale & Retailer Support
-
Assist with communication to existing stockists (restock confirmations, shipping coordination)
-
Support outreach follow-up with prospective retailers as needed
General Operations
-
Order studio and packing supplies as needed
-
Light administrative support: tracking spreadsheets, to-do follow-through, keeping launch timelines on track
-
Support pop-ups, events, or shoot days as they come up
What We're Looking For
-
Highly organized and detail-oriented
-
Comfortable with spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets) and can keep a tracking system accurate
-
Strong, professional written communication for customer and stylist/press emails
-
Self-starter who can manage a running task list and prioritize independently
-
Genuine interest in independent fashion, DIY brand culture, and the Sour Dice world
-
Trustworthy: Can work independently in the studio if founder is out
Ideal candidate also has:
-
Sewing experience on both industrial and home sewing machines
-
Screen printing experience
-
Able to lift boxes, stand for shoot days, and do physical studio work
Nice to have (not required):
-
Experience with Wix, TikTok Shop, Depop, or Kit (email platform)
-
Pattern-making or broader garment construction background
-
Existing relationships with stylists, press, or boutique buyers
Logistics
-
Part-time, hourly, based in our Brooklyn studio (in-person required — this role is hands-on with physical inventory and shoots)
-
Flexible schedule with some fixed in-studio days around shoots, shipping deadlines, and launch windows
-
Room to grow as the brand scales — especially around content and wholesale operations
